How to find relief for strong body pain in first week of second chemo
This is my 3rd day of strong pain in knees, wrist, legs, ankles after
my second chemo. I have taken Advil, 200mg, and ibuprofen 325 mg,
every 6 hrs, does not help. What works for you?

Are chemo treatments getting harder with each one?
What drugs are you getting? Did they give you something like Neulasta in addition to the chemo?
I had severe muscle aches and joint pain my 1st few rounds of chemo.
I took Tylenol (1,000 mg) and used heating pads during the day. Took tramadol at nite. I slept beautifully. Made a big difference.
I wear ice packs on my feet and hands when I get chemo and it seems to help with the neuropathy. My feet and hands do not ache nearly as much afterwards.
When I had pain I found oxycodone/acetaminophen helped the most. 5/325 mg.
Yes, the neulasta really caused bad pain.
Thank you for your comment, I did not expect that much pain, I took oxycodone last night, it helped with the pain. I did not get neulasta. Why was it given?
My chemo drugs are paclitaxel, carboplatin, Bevacizumab, no Neulasta.
thank you for your suggestion.
neulasta is given to boost wbc so your body will generate wbc and neutrophils for the next chemo...i get it now every time...they recommend claritin for it but tbh i've not found it helps in that case... i personally take oxycodone for the pain...tell your dr's you need something stronger than advil or naproxen...and i needed more than tramadol...
A few things that helped me with the chemotherapy bone pain:
Daily soaks in a bathtub with Epsom salts using lukewarm - not hot - water.
Hot showers before bed using a shower chair (loaned for free from local senior center). Target the water on the joints that hurt the most.
I followed the showers by applying CBD cremes/lotions or a product called Traumeel to my joints. I could get a few hours of good sleep by doing that.
thank you for the suggestion-
