Thank you for your opinion @windyshores . Just wanted to give you an update. I just got full results from my visit to neurosurgeon today. He noticed on my MRI that I have an Annular tear and this is the cause of debilitating pain. ( no one else told me this yet ) I guess I just have to find right physical therapy as soon as I can.Maybe acupuncture can help. Surgery is not an option right now.

Wow @sunny65 you have done such a great job getting an answer for yourself- and avoiding harm. I truly apologize for responding with only the fracture in mind!

I looked it up and this article has info on treatment too. You have a really good neurosurgeon it seems and I hope you find a good PT too.

I just got a referral to a comprehensive pain management program that includes doctor, psychologist, PT, OT etc. I wonder if you can find a good program as well. Massage has helped me but it doesn't last and I am hoping to strengthen back muscles to help with all the fractures.

Good luck and again, so happy you pursued a thorough answer and are so good at taking care of yourself.

@sunny65 Hi, just want to offer what helped me greatly with 45 years of low back and hip intermittent pain. It was low back researcher Stuart McGill and his writings and in particular his book The Back Mechanic that gave me the first real change after 45 years of trying things. It took 2-3 days to feel a difference. His recommended movements and exercises are applied individually and have to be adapted to your unique situation but his discussion of pain and how and why to avoid pain triggers can be used by anyone. Best of luck to you!
