Anastrozole fatigue - what helps?
I'm having a tough time staying alert/ awake in the afternoon since I started this drug.
I'm using energy patches, drinking electrolytes but I still crash and have to lie down and I fall into deep sleep.
Hard to get much done. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much!
I take exemestane at bedtime plus an injection once a month. The tiredness is debilitating. Almost like narcolepsy if I make the mistake of sitting down for any period of time.
I was on an Astra Zone for six months and I had to get off of it. I only could sleep but every bone in my body hurt. I have your thumb my baby fingers don’t work on my joints ache. I have now been off of it for I do have more energy, but that’s about it. Seeing my oncologist on the 20th to look at other options. 🤗
Talk to your oncologist. I had quite a few side effects from anastrazole, took a vacation from it and then went on exemastane. Which is agreeing better with my body. I also am seeing an acupuncturist which has helped tremendously!!! If you aren’t having any other side effects you might try acupuncture first.
Thank you. She took me off it as I was becoming crippled by it. It's been 2.5 weeks and I feel so much better physically. I can get up and down better and yesterday I felt joyful and energetic.
Good! So glad to hear that!! It took me about that long maybe a tad longer to feel like me. But remember your new normal is going to be different than it was previously. Anastrozole put in a tailspin mentality and physically 🙁. It was horrible. But I have a couple friends that never had one side effect- everyone is different.
Remember to journal a bit everyday about your journey.
As i hxve said before redt for 30 minutes then start your day it really helps .
I have the joint pain too. I'm going to see my oncologist too in about a month. Let me know how your visit goes. I hope you can find some good options.
Oh, believe me, I tried everything and now I am left with trigger thumb and both baby fingers can’t bend without extreme pain. I taken painkillers are exercised. I can’t even play golf anymore. I know they all have side effects, but I’m gonna try a different brand when I go back to the doctors on the 20th🤞🙏🏻
