Allergic to Boniva - Any Ideas to Help Counteract Side Effects?

I STARTED BONIVA ON SATURDAY 6/8/2024. SUNDAY WAS FINE. SUNDAY NIGHT OR RATHER MONDAY 3 AM. SUDDENLY CHEST AND RIBS GOT SO HARD. MY BACK FELT LIKE I WA HIT WITH A 2 BY 4. TERRIBLE PAIN IN ALL RIBS. 3 DAYS , AND PAIN STILL SO SEVERE. CODEINE, MOTRIN, TYLENOL. NOTHING HELPS. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN TAKE TO COUNTERREACT BONIVA SIDE EFFECTS. I TOOK THE 150MG. PILL YOU TAKE ONCE A MONTH. NEVER TAKING THIS AGAIN. THANK YOU.

@karel please call your doctor. You may be “allergic” to it. That happened to me too.

YES I DID, IM ALLERGIC, BUT HOW TO CONTROL THE AGONY UNTIL THE MEDICATION GETS OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM IS ANOTHER STORY. THANK GOD I DIDNT TAKE IT IN IV , JUST THE ONE TABLET.

@karel, despite your difficult side effects, it has to be a relief that you were able to sort out the reason as allergies and that your provider was receptive to your side-effects. Did they mention how long the side-effects would reasonably last or any ways of management while you wait for the medication to clear your system?
