I have idiopathic small fiber neuropathy (diagnosed with skin punch biopsy) and it started in my feet. I had burning, tingling and pins/needles. I take alpha Lipoic acid and Acetyl l carnitine supplements which helps small fiber neuropathy nerve pain. You can also try capsaicin/lidocaine nerve pain creams. My nerve pain would get worse when I walked in hot weather (heat and swelling/inflammation may aggravate nerves in your feet). You may want to try super cushioned shoes when you need to walk or stand. I bought bzees shoes which are cushioned and lightweight. I have also heard about Hoka brand shoes that are also cushioned and sturdy. You want to limit walking barefoot since this can aggravate nerves.

@dlydailyhope. Hi. I bought four pairs of those Bzees shoes from HSN. I love them. I needed a shoe that fit below my ankle and that didn't rub that area painfully. This shoe did the trick. I hope they come out with a summer style. Happy days to everybody. CB
