How about knee and lower leg pain?

I agree with @jabrown0407, don’t continue taking pain meds without trying to figure out the root cause. I too have had migrating pains. Went undiagnosed PMR 2.5 years. Daily pred helped me get my life back, now just 5mg/day. But still had weird migratory muscle pain that felt like I hiked 10 miles uphill and didn’t fit any list of PMR symptoms. I discovered I have Mold Mycotoxin illness and also Lyme’s Disease. These two diseases can wreak havoc with your body. I discovered that eating animal protein was the cause of my migratory pains, so avoiding animal protein and also gluten (causes pain in my thumbs). Recently got AAT desensitization treatments (look it up) and can eat meat/dairy no more migratory pain. I’m only 55 and I’m hoping that I can beat this PMR monster if I keep searching for answers. Don’t give up or give into a life on pain killers (they don’t really work anyway)— life is so much better living rather than just existing!

I'm sure I have PMR but also sure I have back and knee issues unrelated. Juggling many different aches, illnesses is tough. First thing I asked to be checked for was Lyme but it came back negative. I'm not on full time pain meds, only when needed and really need to stay off prednisone. I'm doing OK and mostly doing what I want. Hope you are too. Thanks for your thoughts.
