I retired right before my THR. I am very active in my community and work at my desk several hours per day. I cannot take Ibuprofen because of other health issues. I believe that “motion is lotion” and I try to walk every day and do balance exercises. I try not to focus on the pain and turn around negative thoughts into positive.

I had a THR on both of my hips. No pain in left hip until right hip was fixed. Taking Ibuprofen for pain daily irritated my kidneys, so I can only take Tylenol as the pain is now in my back and neck.
