Welcome @pollypolly, PMR stands for polymyalgia rheumatica or as some of us call it Mr. Ugly (and painful). Thank you for asking what it stands for as acronyms can be an issue when we don't know what they are. For a lot of us that have had polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) it's just easier to type PMR and we sometimes forget about those who are not familiar with the acronym.
