Anyone tried Dry Needling or Acupuncture for Pain or Neuropathy?
Has anyone had any luck with either dry needling or acupuncture? I have tried each of them one time. But made my feet tingle more. The PT who was administering the dry needling said that it goes through a cycle of pain to get better. I wasn’t too sure on that. Anyone?

What do you mean by "max out on duloxetine and curcumin"? I take duloxetine for fibro pain...
We have had to adjust my duloxetine dose to 90 mg. Based on my tolerance and increasing inflammation and pain, as well as fibro, I will probably eventually need to increase again in a year or two. I also take 900mg of curcumin (3x 300mg) a day. When I try more, I have side effects. NSAID's are not even possible for me.
So, we raised the possibility of LDN last week, and decided to hold off for now.

Yes indeed, I did and guess what, for me it was a waste of time!
On saying that, everyone’s body is different and reacts differently to various procedures so my recommendation to you is give it a try.
Me, I take Advil at bed time, the rest of the day I just suck it up.
For the record I turned 90 in April and I do not let pain stop me, I fish, bowl, play golf, pickle ball and hike.
Lastly, maybe a pain management doctor would be helpful.
What is PMR? Acronyms should be forbidden because many of us have no idea what you’re referring to!
Welcome @pollypolly, PMR stands for polymyalgia rheumatica or as some of us call it Mr. Ugly (and painful). Thank you for asking what it stands for as acronyms can be an issue when we don't know what they are. For a lot of us that have had polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) it's just easier to type PMR and we sometimes forget about those who are not familiar with the acronym. Dry needling hurts like hell and didn't help my pain at all.
Welcome @francine0612, Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the treatments and it didn't help your pain. Do you mind sharing a little more about your diagnosis and any treatments you've tried?
Acupuncture useless for me. Tried cupping too. Didn't seem to do anything.
Acupuncture helped just a little bit but any improvement was very temporary.
