I had a lung biopsy about four years ago. The procedure itself was pretty easy and painless. Mentally preparing was the hard part. I just tried to accept that the procedure was going to tell me what was already going on and that it was information I needed to know. My results were positive for malignant net tumors and I ended up having to have the middle and lower lobes of my right lung removed.
