I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with this too. I’ve tried food elimination but it doesn’t seem to matter what I eat. I did go out and buy the electrolyte water. I’m hoping that helps. I know I’m not getting enough vitamins or minerals.
Does yours come and go? Out of the blue it will stop for a few days maybe a week and I finally start to feel human. Then, for no reason it’s back with a vengeance for weeks. Nothing in particular triggers it.

Thank you for sharing. I feel less alone and crazy.

Take care of yourself.

I have eliminated Coffee, ETOH, since the first of the year and have been on a lactose free diet for over a month per my GI docs direction. My family MD took me off my Ativan due to my telling her I tried THC gummies last mo. to help me sleep. They are legal to buy in my state but she claims she could lose he license if the Government reviewed her files. I stopped using them at night although they were beneficial and switched doc, however she claims the same as my previous. I barely have the energy to f/u with this new doc. My GI docs put me on Colestipol which is used for cholesterol and seems to help making my stools more solid but I am trying to adjust the dosage due to resulting feeling of constipation prior to BM. Curiously, the only thing off with my recent bold test was usually high cholesterol. I am 73 and prior to my mild COVID this last Feb 2024 was employed as a caregiver to an Autistic person, propagated and sold succulents and landscaped my yard and put in many new gardens. My GI docs recently prescribed steroids for my situation, but I am hesitant to begin them due to side effects. I have lost 40 pounds
and sometimes can eat a smoothy and/or 1 small meal a day. I want my life back. I appreciate your response.

This is exactly what happens to me..Sometimes, without any obvious cause, my symptoms get better for few days to a maximum of a week, then they come back without any identefiable trigger. It doesn't seem that there is specific food intolerance, I eat a certain food without any problems ,then when I eat it on another occasion I get terrible symptoms. I also tried low FODMAP diet but without any change in symptoms so I stopped it.
