I have read that 1) once the inflammations numbers go to normal it could take a few months after that for any autoimmune to go away.
2) If inflammation is not the cause of the pain/symptoms it could be something else going on.
I've been suggested that the grief and pain after my dear son died 6 months ago could be the reason of my polymyalgia, emotional trauma could do it, so now I'm on a quest to learn how to overcome the symptoms.
My doctor told me that most of her patients get over it after a year, 1/3 of patients have the disorder longer than 2 years. I can't imagine... I came down with this last week last February and the idea of another month with this is overwhelming!
