CT scan and MRI inconclusive: Perirectal mass?

When I had my work-up, the scans found numerous (like 18) kidney cysts, two liver cysts, two thyroid nodules and 6 small spots in the lungs which were too small to biopsy or analyze.

Very scary at first, but none of them changed a bit over three years of scans, thus they aren't likely anything malignant, but we still do regular scans at 6 month intervals to make sure they remain that way.

Also found a small hernia and spinal stenosis.

You find out all sorts of strange things when you start getting scanned - most of which aren't a big deal.

I'm glad yours are not cancerous! Thank you for the encouragement.

I was able to see my Gastroentologist yesterday. Based on the CT scan he has scheduled me for a colonoscopy and pelvic MRI. I'm not getting the colonoscopy until 29 Jul. Would they have gotten me in sooner if they suspect cancer or do they not see any urgency of 4-5 week delay? He did say he would take biopsies if he sees anything.
