You can check your insurance to see which med they cover before you see your doctor. Mine only covered Tymlos. My doctor prescribed it but my doctor had to appeal it twice to get it covered. I have employer insurance, not Medicare. If for some reason your insurance denies you, make sure doctor appeals it.

I would prefer Tymlos due to its ability to build bone. What rationale did your doctor use to appeal? Thank you.

Thank you for that valuable advice! We, too, are on employer insurance and I will definitely call to see what is covered prior to doctor meeting—that way I can have that appeal discussion with the doc if necessary, on a more timely basis!
