Mary, I took up making cards and always had a stash to made up and gave them out to staff as I made them. Also my word search books were so nice and easy. Take a snack with you in case the doctors don’t come in as early as you think they should and always a water bottle. I didn’t have family close so somedays I would get pretty mad at the man upstairs when it was pouring down rain and I had to park felt like miles from the hospital.
