I believe @jimha @grandpun @prostatecancer123 @bjroc may have experiences with dutasteride (Avodart) that they could share and offer thoughts about your concerns with side effects.

I replied to joe1. I have been on Dutasteride for almost 5 years . One of the most critical points which I pointed out . " If you continue on Dutasteride , you have to " DOUBLE YOUR LAB PSA RESULTS " A LAB PSA off say 6 is really a 12 . Important when you are tracking your PSA doubling time . I have had Zero side effects .
Dutasteride reduces the size of your prostate & Lowers your PSA .
