No taxis in my territory!!! No health vans, yet doctors think you can just go to appointments with no thoughts of how patients will get there! Mailing prescriptions has gotten more expensive… last week a doctor I never saw sent me 2 prescriptions at the expense to me of $26. No insurance does not cover!!! Mkt

I'm sorry to hear that you have no taxis or health vans in your area! That must be very hard. Have you tried finding someone who takes people to their doctor appointments etc. for a living? I would think in your area someone would be offering that service for a price. Also if you sign up for Next Door Digest you could ask if there was anyone in your neighborhood who would be interested in getting paid to take you to doctor appointments, grocery shopping etc. Be sure and ask for references and do a background check on them first.
That's awful about being charged for a prescription from a doctor you never saw! I would suggest writing a polite letter to the company explaining that it obviously was a mistake and you would like to be reimbursed for the $26. Sign the letter and under that put "Copy: George Wilson (any name will do.), Attorney at Law." That has worked well for me. They don't want to deal with lawyers and law suits.
