Availability of serum dioxin testing related to prostate cancer.
I am a Vietnam Veteran who was diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer several years ago. I am concerned about dioxin in the adipose tissues and blood serum as the potential cause for that condition. I have asked all of my doctors to point me to a diagnostic test for serum dioxin but have not been able to locate any organization that does this testing. This type of testing is quite intricate requiring the use of mass spectrometers and gas chromatography. If anyone has had any experience with this or knows of a location that offers this type of testing, please share your leads.

gwellock,
There are very few laboratories that can reliably measure dioxins in a blood sample. The information provided
Individuals who want their blood sampled, must make their own contacts and arrangements through their personal physician.

This information is dated and may be more frustating thant effective.
You may have normal serum levels and still have cancers caused by exposure as serum dioxin is gradually eliminated by the body.
I am sorry for your exposure to dioxin and your exposure to war. I hope you are well and wish you luck
Good Afternoon @gently,
Thank you so much for these leads. I have struggled to find a lab to complete this testing. I greatly appreciate all your help.
Thanks for your support,
George
