PALB2 Gene: How does this effect treatment and outcome?
My partner who was diagnosed with stage 4 A prostate cancer just tested positive for the PALB2 gene. Will this decrease his chances of long term survival? He is going to be treated with radiation, ADT + injection and pill. The cancer is regional in the pelvic nodules and prostate.

I don't know the answer on long-term survival per se. My husband has the same mutation and the oncologist said this mutation responds well to treatment with ATR inhibitors and immunotherapy. The oncologist sees this as a positive for treatment later.
Thank you this is so reassuring to hear.
Did your dr recommend this as the first line of treatment or after castration resistant?
First line after castration resistant was Pluvicto.
Was Pluvicto successful?
After castration resistance, and after Pluvicto.
