Blueprint to Neuropathy?

Posted by hossie @hossie, Apr 22 2:03pm

Has anyone tried Blueprint to Nueropathy? Apparently it is a treatment approach that is being used by many chiropractors. It's long in duration and not cheap. I am not looking for a silver bullet, just some improvement in my feet. Thanks.

What vitamin supplements should I be taking for small fiber neuropathy?

The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy has a list of supplements for neuropathy at the end of the list of things that help in the Complementary and Alternative Treatments document here - https://www.foundationforpn.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Complementary-and-Alternative-Treatments-Revised-2020-final.-1.pdf.

I have tried many many alternative treatments in Florida. After consulting a chiro who used Blueprint for neuropathy program for $14000, yikes! I purchased the book on amazon and reproduced the treatment on my own. I purchased a red light therapy unit, vibro plate, went to an independant DPT for shock wave sessions (18 total) stretching, strengthening, soft tissue work and a machine that did some kind of water massage, also tried dry needling. I already take about 15 supplements a day so did not change that (including ALA and Vit B complex) Unfortunately no change noted! At least I did not spend a fortune and feel I tried everything. I would be happy to send you the book on blueprint, it was a thin book only $10! I ran into a neighbor who did go to the chiropractor and spent thousands with NO result. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS!

I did spend the big money with the chiropractor since Aug 2023. The good news for me is that it stopped the progression and is trending in the right direction, albeit slow progression. After I received the diagnosis of SFN last week (after about 3 years), the neurologist prescribed the muscle relaxer, Flexeril, and I don’t feel the pain. It was like a miracle overnight. Hope this helps!!

Welcome @boujee, I've on occasion used Vick's Vapo Rub on my feet, mostly on my toes (hammertoes) to help with the soreness. Here's a link that shows comments by members who have posted on the topic - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=vicks+vapo+rub

Have you been diagnosed with neuropathy?

Really check into it thoroughly!! Chiropractors seem to really concentrate on people with neuropathy with NO results-a friend of mine and I were victims ($$$) of two different ones. We are all looking for someone-something that will make our lives better.

I fell for the Blue Print Special after having been treated at our local Neuropathy Clinic and having had non FDA shots put into my ankles and toes for 7 weeks. I had only mild numb feet going in, no pain, and had experienced it for years. They wanted me to rate my pain level each time and I did not have any pain. I rated my numbness! I later found out they falsified my my report saying I had pain of a 6 on my first visit. At no time did they give me any status as to the severity of my problem. Upon the 14th visit pain came into my legs and feet and hands like a firestorm. At that point they said in a low voice to each other, "we need to graduate her", translating to "get her out of her!" I complained when they told me I could not come back stating, "but now I hurt"!, and was told we want to just see what happens. All I could find was a Chiropractor who scare the living life out of me when I went to him for treatment who informed me my feet were 85/98% damaged and my hands 50/50%. Yikes, and immediately was moved to sign up for a $6000 plan to save my limbs by signing up for the BluePrint Health plan which existing of Home therapy assuming 8 hours of my day going through the protocol and visiting the Doctor 30 minutes away every week to have him turn me into a pretzel, which I did not want. I stayed on the program for 30 days rigorously and still the equipment at this time to help with the pain. It was later learned the Tulsa Clinic was raided by Medicare and people were fired for putting the non FDA shots into patients feet and charging medicare. There only reason for being there is to show that patients improve and when they stop improving, "you are OUT". The tens machine is a temporary good feeling and shots, which were "vitamin" shots who knows what they did. I have received a EMG since which showed Stage4 sensory damage and my pain increases daily with no help in site. I refuse to take the strong medications and take Tylenol as I am on a blood thinner and the harsh medications making me a instant candidate for the "Walking Dead show!"
Where am I today, still spending money and getting worse every day. My days are pretty good and I can never sit down, play golf and pickleball, but nights are "Hell"!

The supplements blueprint are amazing. I went to an eight chiropractic. It was part of their protocol. I was happy with the supplement but unhappy with the turn and burn of the chiropractic method they used. I use a chiropractor that uses the Cox method and I find it 100 times better than regular chiropractory, or should I say the chiropractic method said some of these turn and burn places?

@hossie, I've heard a few members mention it in older discussions but I don't think I've seen any evidence-based studies about their treatment protocol. Similarly, there were no results in the research database on PubMed https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/. Their original website is no longer active (http://blueprinttoneuropathy.net/) and I think this is the new one but it also has no evidence-based studies about their protocol other than their claims on the website here - https://blueprintnutrition.com/education/neuropathy/.

There are a lot of supplements that have research and studies supporting their use all of which I've seen listed here on the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy's website in the Complementary and Alternative Treatments document - https://www.foundationforpn.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Complementary-and-Alternative-Treatments-Revised-2020-final.-1.pdf.

Early on I looked into treatment at a neuropathy clinic and decided against it because it was a lot of money over many treatments with no guarantees. That and I could find no evidence-based studies that it might work or help. I would proceed with caution. Ask questions, hard questions about scientific evidence before paying loads of money.

I could be very succinct about this. The supplements from blueprint are excellent before I started using it. My blood work was shit now I blood work is actually perfect and that’s no exaggeration. However, the protocol the chiropractic protocol that I had to pay for with it was more like a turn and burn operation, my advice for chiropractic health is the Cox method through your research

I doubt that supplements are going to help neuropathy to any degree. It is likely that the only ones who benefit are the companies that make these things.

I tend to disagree. I’ve had an economic neuropathy for year and a half an anomic when I first went to my doctor my blood work was terrible. I started taking blueprint supplements through chiropractor and have to say a year later blood work is great no faith in the chiropractor, actually switch to chiropractor uses the Cox method I have found out in my year and a half is plan does not cure it doesn’t go away. Best thing to do is exercise and a little stress-free lot of vitamins from A-to-Z and hope for the best all the other stuff the bills and whistles they put in a good mind. I guess that works.

I am confused. At the end of your comment, you say that you are "getting worse every day". Then, in the next sentance you say that "My days are pretty good and I can never sit down, play golf, or pickleball". Which is it?
