Recommended withdrawal from prozac is 25% 1/4 dose reduction per week. Some doctors prefer a 6 week withdrawal. Withdrawal symptoms are said to be completed 7 days from the last dose.
You may want a slower withdrawal rate. 1% 1/10th per week might make be an easier transition.
Fluoxetine liquid comes in a concentation of 20mg fluoxetine in 5mL of liquid, (check your bottle to be sure) meaning there is 4mg of fluoxetine in 1mL. If you are taking 10mg Prozac now, the liquid equivalent would 2.5mL. If you want to take 9mg of Prozac, you would take 2.25mL of the liquid
1 mL= 4mg
0.5mL = 2mg
0.25mL = 1mg
0.2ml = 0.8mg
With the only warning that raising two small children can cause loss of memory and loss of self. It's temporary until they are about ten years old.
Best wishes

Thank you!! So you dont think its necessary to stay at the same dose reduction for 2 weeks? And when i get down to .5mg should i be fine to quit or should i try to get to .25 first?

Good advice!! I can’t think of anything to add.
But—are you still depressed? Don’t stop if you are. Caring for 2 small children is tough and may increase your depression and anxiety. I hope you are consulting regularly with a psychiatrist.
