Thank you! I’m going to see a urogyn at the end of September for an evaluation, so I’m not sure yet if I will need surgery. I just started pelvic floor PT so hopefully I can prevent things from progressing further at least. I’ve read a lot of comments here and there seems to be a mix of people doing quite well and people having new problems after surgery. I feel like I should be at Mayo because of their expertise but I doubt my insurance will cover it when there are a couple of urogyns here. I’m not usually afraid of surgery but this one terrified me because of its potential to make me incontinent and/or ruin my sex life! And maybe it won’t even last and I’ll have to do it again? I mean, I can’t believe we don’t have better options… But hey what else is new in women’s health.
