Blood Marker Testing
Hi Everyone,
I had P1NP and CTX serum tests. I expected the numbers would be wonky somehow, but both are in the normal range. Are the numbers only useful as baselines for the sake of comparison once taking medication?
Thanks.

Yes:)
@Lyn59, I am on Tymlos and I have been doing the same as you. I've been adding milk products and other high calcium foods. I was looking up the amount of calcium in everything and making sure I got 1200 MG of calcium. I too have gained weight and have bloating. I'm going to stop counting and go back to my old way of eating when I felt better.
I don’t think I got enough calcium before, so that worries me a little, but I really don’t like how I look/feel with all the dairy. I was wondering if I should try organic milk? Are you going to supplement with calcium pills or liquid?
I take 250 MG of Now Red Algae Calcium twice a day. My endo said to continue doing this. This is half of what I was taking before Tymlos.
@drsuefowler, do you worry about cholesterol? I am eating more cheese than before and wonder about that. I like it 🙂 but not at the expense of raising my numbers. Thanks.
I do. Now that I know I have too much calcium, I am going to cut back on dairy. I've gained weight on it too.
@drsuefowler, I'm getting chubby my own self! Cutting back.
On Tymlos, not sure we need that much calcium. I did 800/day. I saw a study with 500mg/day but not sure if that was in addition to dairy. I do supplements due to a dairy allergy.
Evenity lowers calcium but Forteo raises it (temporarily). I upped calcium for Evenity but not for Tymlos. As always ask a doctor or nutritionist.
