Wedge pillow for travel

The inflatable wedge I posted above does not leak but I do not find it as comfortable as foam. It has a push valve for letting out air. One trip I used it and it was fine but recently I found it difficult to get used to.

I sprung for the TravelWedge Pro which will fit in my suitcase. Self inflating. I'm a bit concerned about the plastic-y looking outside. Maybe the cotton cover I purchased will help.

The smell of plastic while you are trying to sleep is not great. But I did have the same impression as you. I normally sleep with a pillow on top of the wedge. Do you think that would help with the comfort factor?

I just purchased the TravelWedge Pro after reading your helpful post. I had an inflatable one that I used prior that was really uncomfortable as it had a drop off at the bottom. This one is much more comfortable but it seems that it's only giving an 11% incline and I'm wondering if it's worth taking up the room in my luggage for air travel. I guess 11% (out of desired 30%) is a start and I can pile up some pillow to try to get closer to 30%. Have you used it for international travel and did it feel worth it? Thanks for the advice!
