@samarksusa So glad to hear that your cochlear implant is working well for you! I'm confused though regarding your comment about 'having the surgery 'several months ago' and receiving the 'listening device' two weeks ago.

After surgery, the usual timeline is much shorter than 'several months', so I am wondering if you are referring to your cochlear processor or to an add on assistive listening device that works with it. ?? I use a cochlear implant and a hearing aid. Without them I hear nothing. I often use the mini mic accessory in settings where a lot of background noise is present. I am so grateful for my CI and the technology that works with it.

It helps so much to talk about how treatments and technology work for us.

Sorry about the confusion. I had the implant surgery and waited for the surgery site to heal before I was given the processor/receiver. I go in for another visit this week to meet with audiologist to go over any questions or adjustments I may need. Thanks for asking. I love the Osia device.

I'm looking to speak with someone having a Osia. Is that what you have? If so are there any negatives?
