The injector has Humalog Kwiki Pen
Insulin Lispro. As you can see I am very new to this. I just started last week with the injections along with taking Metformin ER. I was talking with a couple of co-workers who are type 1's and they told me it took a few different types of insulin before they found one that worked for them. Just feel terrible and looking for answers.

JUST CHECKED THE MAYO CLINIC FOR LISPRO: IT IS A FAST,SHORT ACTING FORM OF INSULIN AND IOT'S USE NEEDS TO BE MONITORED.

ASK YOUR DOCTOR FOR ANOTHER FORM, MAYBE HUMALOG 50/50. WITH OR WITHOUT LISDPRO.

BEFORE I USED HUMALOG. BEFORE/JUST AFTER BREAKFAST AND SUPPER, I USED A DIFFERENT FORM WITH ALL 3
MEALS AND ALSO SOME LONG ACTING FORM. USING HUMALOG 50/50 WITH ONLY TWO MEALS WAS THE ALTERNATIVE UNTIL NOW. I NOW ADD ABOUT HALF OF MY REGULAR DOSE WITH LUNCH TO REDUCE THE BIG JUMP IN GLUCOSE
BETWEEN LUNCH AND SUPPER. I ALSO TAKE SOME HUMALOG WITH A SNACK, SAY BEFORE BEDTIME.

MY VALUES HAVE BEEN ABOUT 200 OR MORE FOR OVER FOUR YEARS AND MY KIDNEY FUNCTION STARTED GOING DOWN IN 2012 OR MAYHBE 2011! I AM NOW IN STAGE 4 OF CKD AND HAVE HAD NEUROPATHY SINCE EARLY DECEMBER.

Who R YOUR "DOCTORS"?? U need an Endocrinilogist or NP IN DIABETES!

This is my last attempt before I go see a specialist. They have put me on Invokana as well as Metformin. We will see.
