For me; The radioactive dye was administered night before prior to surgery as it needs time to “travel” the lymph route. Once sedated the blue dye injection was administered.

I wish I had been sedated! I screamed and jumped off the table. That person who gave me the shot was lucky I didn't hit him.
No warning about the pain. I called the hospital and complained as it was barbaric to do this with no pain meds.
You were lucky!
