I am a patient at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Initially I was being treated by both Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases. When my pulmonologist was not satisfied with my progress, they had me tested (both sweat test and DNA) for cystic fibrosis. They then confirmed cystic fibrosis, and ever since then I have been treated by the entire CF team -- including a doctor, nurse, respiratory care tech, social worker, and dietician. In addition they have had me screened periodically for my bone density, and seen periodically by a GI doctor and an endocrinologist. My cystic fibrosis doctor (pulmonologist) tends to manage my overall care and refer me to any other specialists as needed. Very happy with my overall care and very grateful to the Mayo Clinic.
