Generic insulin vs name brand insulin

Good RX offers a cheaper price for insulin but it is a generic insulin. Does anyone have any experience with generic insulin?

What kind of insulin. There are a lot of different kinds and different manufacturers. The fast acting one my kid uses doesn't have a generic.

I take Novolog 70/30 and Novolog.

After my stroke, I needed to shoot insulin for a few months.

I used Novolin 70/30 FlexPens, about $45 at Walmart for a box of 5 pens, 1500 units total. (I forget how much I paid for needles.)

Worked fine for me.

I pay over $120 for a box of 5 pens of 70/30 Novolog at Walmart!! But both of these are name brands. I am curious about the generic brands of insulin.
