What is the best way to taper off Klonopin?

I am 73 and have been on 1 mg of Clonazepam for about 15 years and it has worked for me all this time. I thought I should get off of it because of what I’ve read it being addictive but I’ve been fighting depression and anxiety since my teens. My psychiatrist told me I’m considered addicted to it. But now I think at 73 why get off if it works. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Any comments?

christina73 If it works why get off of it? I have been on it for 15 years or maybe
longer, I will be on it till I die. If it's not broke why change it. I have never had to change the mg.. I am on the same as you. you are already adddicted to it. who
cares it works for you. Everyone is addicted to something.
