I am suffering from burning feet. I’m guessing but I think it started when my GP put me on Mirtazapine. Has anyone experienced this.

I also have a question about Alpha Lipoic Acid. I have read that this is used for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Can anyone tell me if it works for none diabetic PN

Hi John @bigjohnscho, I don't have the burning feet with my neuropathy but thought I would jump in while you wait for others with experience to respond and share a few links that may be helpful.

You are not alone with the burning feet. There are many members who have started discussions and shared their experience with burning feet and legs. Here is a link to the discussions and comments that you might want to scan through - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/discussions/?search=burning%20feet.

Members who have discussed Mirtazapine side effects - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=mirtazapine+side+effects.

Members who have discussed Alpha lipoid acid - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=Alpha+lipoid+acid.

You might want to look at the complementary and alternative treatments listed on the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy which also contains a list of supplements including alpha lipoic acid that has helped some people - https://www.foundationforpn.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Complementary-and-Alternative-Treatments-Revised-2020-final.-1.pdf
