Do you fit this paradigm?
I caught COVID on Halloween 2020 and became very sick for about 3 weeks. I was very healthy and fit; I participated in many sports/outdoor activities and traveled quite a bit. After ‘recovery’, I felt better for a bit but never really great. I tried to scuba dive, hike, travel, etc but I just wasn’t enjoying it much. Never felt very good, cried over nothing all the time and had horrible panic attacks. About a year later, I started to get really sick: rashes, allergies to everything, shortness of breath, internal tremors, brain fog, facial tics, nerve pain, muscle pain, everything smells like burning algae, exercise is a joke. Constant crying, depression, nihilism, fear…you know the drill. Fatigue that cannot be adequately described.
So, I’m just wondering who else fits this paradigm? Infection with ‘classic’ COVID before the vaccine and then never really got completely better for a time? Then, started a slow, steady decline that stole away everything in life that gave you joy? Anybody see improvement or find anything that helps? By the way, I do have a freaking army of doctors and I’m a patient at UNC Covid so I’m not lacking in medical attention.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Same here. So many tests. So many docs. 2 years of symptoms. Now taking LDN. May be giving some relief. Some days better than others. Good luck to everyone suffering. I too took good care of myself- walked 5-6 miles every day and had so much energy. The last time I felt that way was March 26, 2022. One day they’ll have the tests to detect what is wrong with us. Hugs
Has your care team tested you for mucroclots?
I’ll check it out
No they have not. I’m in the midst of the Paxlovid clinical trial but after it wraps, I will ask about that.
I am so sorry you are going through this as well. That is what makes me mad is that we took care of ourselves and this happened to us.If it was not a lab made virus our bodies would have been able to fight it off.I knew there waa something wrong right away when I could not swallow. The Doctors tried antibiotics, antifungal and antiparasite.Nothing worked.Covid attacks the vagus nerve which controls swallowing and a bunch of other things in the body.Than the rest of my body got attacked.I used to walk 8 miles a day on the biketrail and it got to the point where my trunk of my body got so weak I could not walk anymore, lift a window or hold a purse.I can kind of walk again, but it is not normal at all.It looks like some kind of muscular dystrophy. It is so weird. It is basically like the signals between my muscles and nerves dissapeared.I was reading that long covid clinics are using mestinon which is the same medication to treat Myasthenia Gravis.I was checked for Myasthenia Gravis because I have trouble walking, slow talking, chewing and swallowing, but my tests was negative.Long Covid mimics alot or neurological diseases.
Oh golly! This is a crazy journey. I hope some of those symptoms resolve for you soon.
I know. You as well!I am praying for you.It is just not fair.
