Is the fluid coming out from the area beneath the ostomy appliance? How long is the fluid going to be a problem? Can it be bandaged with gauze to soak up fluid without disturbing the ostomy appliance?

Again, Convatec has nurses who are actually, in my experience, more helpful than the ostomy nurse at the surgeon's, though you could also contact the specialist's office for help.

There may be products or strategies that will help. I can only imagine what a nightmare this is.

Are the bags the disposable kind? At the very least the doctor needs to authorize many extra barriers and bags!
