I have yet to make an appointment as I’ve been quite anxious about going to the hospital (mostly for financial reasons since I’ve been in and out of the hospital these past few months for unrelated illnesses) so I’ve just been trying to figure our whether this is serious enough reason for me to get a scan or a checkup. In the span of the few months since I’ve noticed the pain, it has not grown or worsen but it is also not disappearing.

@bellaaaaa I understand your hesitation for financial reasons as well as other health reasons. Still, you must be worried and concerned or you would not have come to Mayo Clinic Connect to ask us for support. Are you worried about what you might find out? If this is nothing serious, then you'll know. If this is something that needs treatment then the sooner you know without delay then you can get started on what you and your doctor decide together what to do.

In my experience worrying about something that may or may not happen creates even more anxiety. Why not move from worry to action and make an appointment with your doctor?
