Hi ! I have read yes and no but that is not why I installed it. But as an alternative to plastic water bottle purchases. It is scientifically much cleaner than any bottled water and good to use for cleaning your equipment, drinking, cooking etc. If you do lavage, you can use it for that too.
I assume anything wet has MAC bacteria present 😎 It is hard to avoid but drinking does not infect you.
