kittykat73, let me know if the injection helps you. I had one in the same place as you. And it's 5 days later and not much help so far. I'm really surprised because everyone I talked to that had gotten a steroid/corticosteroid injections said it was Fantastic! So I'm very disappointed. Maybe the doctor didn't use a strong enough dose?? Not sure...I also have achy legs which I'm not sure of the reason for that. Meds, Long Covid, Osteoarthritis extending from hip down leg?

My opinion is that you should check back with the provider that gave you the injection. I believe it's possible that the medication didn't get into the correct space. I've had several injections and all have helped with the exception of one. That one was given by an NP working with my rheumatologist. I believe the medication wasn't injected exactly into the bursa. I'm not sure but maybe the MD could give you another injection if you talk to him. Just my thoughts.
