I was a very satisfied proton beam survivor until recently . In March 2024 my (surgical urologist blasted a large stone and inserted a stent in the urethra. Since removing the stent,
I have been hospitalized twice with severe infections. My urologist maintains the damage to my kidney, ureter and bladder are so severe from the proton radiation that my alternatives are 1. Live with the situation, 2. nephroscopy, or 3. use small intestine to bypass ureter. None of these he maintains are successful alternatives. I am now asking for suggestions as where to go and what type of doctor might work with cases like mine.

If you email me budishome@aol.com. I found a doc in St Paul who specializes in radiation caused urology problems. He has helped me for the past 2 years. Wonderful surgeon.
