Hey Support Group Members,

Our next meeting will be held at noon on Wednesday May 8 and will feature two speakers. The meeting will be held in our usual spot, Baldwin 1-507.

First, Colleen Young, Community Director for Mayo Clinic Connect, will bring us up to date on peer-to-peer sharing made possible through Mayo Connect. She will explain how patients, caregivers, family and friends can share what they know about their own cancer experiences, the impact of their cancer on family members, and their treatments choices and experiences. Connect is a public forum, and she will tell us how to sign up if we aren't already.

Second, I will share the latest statistics on prostate cancer including survival statistics, new cases, new deaths, and trends. I will also share limited statistics on the impact of various treatments including surgery vs. radiation vs. immunology.
