Bad burn during radiation: Anyone had treatment stopped?

Hello,

I’m new to the group. I completed chemo from April to August. I got burned really bad during radiation. The doctor stopped my radiation after 26 rounds, total 5 weeks daily and 2 days in week six. I didn’t receive the booster. Has anyone had radiation stopped due to burn? I’m also, taking Anastrozole for 10 years and Verenzio for 2 years for prevention.

My radiation caused 3rd degree burns so they stopped it at 4 weeks but a week later we finished it. The oozing and bleeding needed to be arrested before I could continue.

I used aloe vera leaf from my backyard and didn't get burned at all. Make sure you clean it well. I washed the leaf with diluted dish washing soapto remove dirt, dried it, then used rubbing alcohol to disinfect. I used clean knife to remove the original cut and the thorns, stored in refrigerator. Make sure you use it right after each session and continue to another week or two after the radiation therapy is done. Don't use it over the blisters. Wish you all the best. Hugs.

I started Proton Theraoy yesterday( #1 of 33) and I used the actual aloe Vera gel from the leaf. I also used it when I did regular radiation with no problems. But this time my oncologist said I will burn. She will prescribe meds to help me.

I used both and it worked well for me during radiation. After, I used the aloe gel lily of desert and radioplex.

Yes, but mine came in a tube, but same stuff. I also used radiaplex.
