I'm doing the same by taking the Anastrozole at night. I am also doing something I haven't talked to my oncologis about because she is out of the office for a few months and I son't want to talk to just any oncologist. I am taking it every other day. When I first started taking it I had Itchy hives on my face. Mostly a swelling spot under my eyes. Since taking it every other day the spot/hives have disappeared. This also happens when I eat things I am sensitive to--mostly tomatoes. I've been taking this for about 2 months. Occasionally I have hot flashes but nothing I can't live with. So far I'm doing well. Just a note, I have a hard time with medications. It seems like if I take 1/2 of most I do better and have no side effects. I see my oncologist in 2 weeks and i will try to get back about what she has to say about every other day. Hugs

I started taking my anastrozole every other morning about two weeks ago. Began it once daily about 2 years, 3 mo ago. Side effects were building so I stared every other day rather than stop. I have read they have clinical trials now to see if a lower dose than 1 mg every day would be better.
Speaking for myself, I do feel better!

My onco score was 10% without and 3% with AI. Finding a different oncologist now and will certainly tell my new doctor soon. Difficult decissions!
