I've been on Anestrozole for 5 years this December. Luckily, I'm finished with it then. Yes, I have experienced hair loss and thinning too. I'm also on Prednisone (not for the cancer) and thought that also promotes hair loss. I've been using biotin and collagen shampoo which supposedly "helps to create the appearance of full, voluminous, healthy looking hair".. I keep my hair fairly short, about 5", instead of the longer length which seems to show the scalp more. I have yet to find something that really works. Good luck.

I just finished 5 years of Anastrazole. I had hair thinning more than I ever noticed before treatment. I was advised not to wash my hair more than twice a week, not to use a hot setting on the hairdryer, and to use a wet dry brush to brush my hair gently. My beautician told me I did not have any “bald” spots. I was also told supplements were useless considering it’s a side effect of medication for cancer. That being said, if you try them and you think they work. Great. Best to you.

Just a thought. Talk to your oncologist about taking Anastrazole every other day instead of every day. There are studies of all three AI's showing that half dosages are just as effective. Perhaps this might mitigate the hair loss a bit.
