costochondritis
after severe coughing episode in 2021 had feeling of a ripped sensation in chest by the breastbone; muscle spasms and difficulty breathing - get winded. Feel like a pull in my right chest in my entire right upper chest area. Had CT, MRI, cardio/pulmonary work up - all was normal. Very frustrated. No one seems to do ultrasounds of chest costochondral area, even though I see it done online. Any other testing that could be beneficial? I've been to cardio, pulmonary, rheumatologist, ENT, no one has given definitive diagnosis. Has anyone had an ultrasound for these types of complaints?

Since my first visit of chondritis, I keep an extra large heating pad nearby. That's my buddy now.
Thank you so much for responding. I have been feeling very discouraged because of the slowness of healing and the uncertainty of the duration. It’s been about three months now, but I’ll continue to hang in there and hope and pray for the best.
Keep this thought in mind, every minute that passes is a minute closer to when you suddenly realize there's no pain. Focus on the end of the climb, not the mountain. You've got this.
