Thanks so much. Wow I was told that they never book appointments more than 3 months from the time that you are accepted so that is way longer than I was told. Maybe it's because your insurance situation delayed things but still that's an awfully long wait. I'm glad you were able to get it all straightened out. I hope everything goes well for you too!

As @jml6812 said, it depends on dept. Most depts at Mayo only book appts 2-3 months out. If there are no available appts in next few months, then you are in the queue for when they open up a future month for scheduling. When they open up a new month, the schedulers start filling it in with rechecks or people on waiting list. Example, I had an order for endourology recheck scheduled for June, in March I got portal message to call and schedule that appt.

This can vary depending on urgency and availability.
