Yes, I had a Fusion of C-3 to C-6 with 2 Rods and 6 Screws. Had to get Revision Surgery 3 months later as 2 Screws became loose.
I'm now 1 Year and 1 Month after 2nd Surgery and still having considerable pain.
I'm currently scheduled for Cortisone Injections in May.
If they don't work, I'll be going for Radio Frequency Ablation, where they Kill the Nerve.
I've been on the Pain Clinic for months and it doesn't help, but don't want to get any stronger Narcotic.
Currently on Tramadol, was on Dilaudid.
Did the P.T. for 3 months twice and it didn't help.

@jp4355 Hello. I wanted to welcome you to Connect. I'm sorry you have had pain since your surgeries. I am cervical spine surgery patient. What has helped me a lot with maintaining range of motion and function and helping with pain is doing myofascial release with my physical therapist.

Surgery creates scar tissue, and most everyone has some facial tissue restrictions and that may be helped with releasing the tight fascia. Surgical scars can link into a tight fascia body wide pattern. I did MFR work before my spine surgery and afterward and it has helped me a lot. Here is our discussion if you wanted to learn more about it. There is a provider search at http://mfrtherapists.com/

This is kind of like massage, but the therapist holds the tension and waits for the tissue to relax. You wouldn't need to change anything else you are doing for pain management as this is just a form of physical therapy, but it doesn't make you work on strengthening muscles.

Skip the Cortisone injections.I did them for several years and got 3 months out of them.I have been so much happier with Radio Frequency Ablation.I get a good year without pain and i am building a house so very active.
