@wkay1212, I also have a stress fracture that is not healint, but I am taking Tymlos. Your experience is more evidence for me that the anabolics just help trabecular bones, especially the spine. Especially at first, I think they make cortical bones porous. I considered stopping the Tymlos to make my bone heal, but am afraid to do that without an absorptive medication.

My endo wants me to take Prolia after Tymlos, but I told him I don't want to. I am afraid of taking a medication that has side effects that could last a long time, and I don't want to take Prolia for the rest of my life.

@drsuefowler I was told Tymlos helps healing for fractures.

I had a 9% gain in hip which is partly trabecular and partly cortical. I was told that Forteo results in increased porosity more than Tymlos. (Another poster had some interesting ideas on whether porosity means flexibility.)

What type of stress fractures and how long has it been? I have 2 metatarsal stress fractures for 27 months and they are also not healing. Curious what meds you have taken and when stress fracture occurred. I really would like to figure what I can do to get my foot to heal. Thank you. I know this is not easy.
