I am so sorry to hear this. I had a Reclast infusion 18 months ago. The severe side affects you listed last about 7 months for me. Then less severe side affects but still experiencing swollen joints, insomnia, jaw pain, back pain and more. I was a 74 yr old that swam one hour a day and biked an hour a day. Still trying to get my energy back. Everyone on this site please rethink Reclast infusion. I sincerely hope your side affects do not last as long as mine. Praying for your quick recovery.

I am truly sorry to hear about everyone’s experience with Reclast. I had my second infusion in March with no side effects. My first infusion in 2023 I had flu like symptoms for about 6 hours, then gone. I went on Reclast because I had side effects from Evenity that were nasty. My endocrinologist contacted the drug manufacturer of Evenity that advised that just maybe I wasn’t a good fit for Evenity; hence the Reclast. I guess what I’m saying is there is no one drug fits all and each person and there makeup is different having different impact on each person. Brittle bones is not what I signed up for either and making the decision to go on any drug was very difficult for me. But after a few stress fractures and a decrease on my bone scan I had to choose to assist with my condition. I hope everyone has good luck with their drug of choice. I only write this because I don’t think writing off possibly Reclast is the answer for everyone. I had to think long and hard on taking it, but then again I had to go through the same choice for Evenity that did not workout for me.
