So very disappointed with communication btwn clinicians.
My husband’s LC tumor on adrenal gland no longer discernible following final LC chemo.
Oncologist recommends Adrenalectomy asap due to possible remaining cancer specs; 2 weeks ago she said she would discuss with surgical oncologist and request earlier followup appt with him,
Surgeon office just called to discuss good CT results (from 2 weeks ago) and to cancel his follow-up appt as no longer needed bc tumor is now indiscernible.
Since they did not connect, I requested from both that they pls do so asap. There’s just so much I can do to make this happen.
Is time not of the essence with cancer?
I see that we must be our own advocate. This is my husband’s life.
Saw oncologist today. She thinks that although adrenal mass is now indiscernible, there may be lingering cancer specs and so removal of this adrenal gland is warranted. She will discuss with surgical oncologist. Sigh.
