This is eye opening, freckle1! I did some preliminary checking and the Apple Watch does have the capability to call relatives/friends, so I’ll be setting that up right away. While I have used the heart rate, pulse ox, etc, I’ve never looked for or noticed a blood pressure setting. From what I can find, Apple doesn’t currently detect low blood pressure (possibly coming in the “near” future). I typically have low blood pressure, so the watch detection could be really helpful. Thanks for all of the great info! Cheers!

I don't think I am using all the health functions of my Samsung watch, so am not entirely sure why it went off. But it was a reminder not to stand up too quickly, which I am always aware of when getting out of the leg press at the gym. My father stood up from a seated position on his stair climber, blood pressure dropped - he fell and banged his head.. That put him into aged care. Especially important when you're bending low - gardening for example.
