I am also scheduled for a revision on my right knee. I have had my current replacement for 19 years (am 61 now). I have been informed that the surgery is 3 hours (so longer than original) but that rehab should be no different. I am scheduled for Thursday so we will see how it goes!

Slapshot. Find out what the material of the replacement is read my post on here under fister

Best wishes for a successful revision. I’m getting one on Oct 4. Please keep me in the loop of your recovery, pain and rehab. I’m worried. I’m 60 in 6 days. I had my first TKR for only 10 years. I played tournament tennis and I guess I wore it out. Dr. said the piece in the middle of the two metal pieces just disintegrated and my knee shifted sideways.

@slapshoot1 Good luck with the revision. I presume the first one must have gone well since you went 19 years with it, so hopefully this one will too.
