I agree about staying off the TKR. However, as an aside, I often (daily) feel a sharp twinge of pain in my TKR. I am 3 years post-op. The “twinges” started 2days after surgery. Have had the orthopedic surgeon check it out twice, new set of x-rays, plus an ultrasound. Nothing found. I’m puzzled and frustrated.

im over 5 years out. I have accepted the fact the pain is not going away and learn to live with it. Drs never told me of the possible bad side of tkr. Bad for business i guess. Sorry but no good answers for me. No do overs either. That is why i will not do the other knee.

@daughter55 I would get a second opinion from a different orthopedic surgeon. Obviously the original would not want to admit that something was wrong from what he/she did. I have a friend who had problems and went two years in pain. It was the third orthopedic surgeon who finally diagnosed her problem and fixed it. She is great now.
I had my second TKR done last October and it is pain free. I do not have the flex I had hoped to have but it will do. I can even kneel on it, on a cushion.
